can EMDR help me?

Yes, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) can probably help you!

You might be thinking EMDR can’t help you because you haven’t experienced trauma or have never been diagnosed with PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder). The truth is that EMDR can help you if you are ‘activated’ or ‘triggered’ in life situations and experience anxiety, panic, or emotional dysregulation.

EMDR can help people feel more confident in social situations, navigate difficult family relationships, and manage difficult conversations or accept negative feedback without becoming defensive (fight), fleeing (flight), shutting down (freeze), or being agreeable just to get the situation to end (fawn).

EMDR can help you identify why you have trouble setting boundaries, how people-pleasing makes your life more complicated, and can improve how you feel about yourself in various relationships - work, school, social, or family.
